Is Surprisely free?
Yes. Ideas, friends, occasions, shared lists, iCloud sync and one reminder per occasion are free. With Surprisely Premium for €2.99 per month or €19.99 per year (new subscribers can try the yearly plan free for one week) you choose several reminder times and the time of day, for each occasion if you like, and the insights show how much you’ve spent per year, occasion and friend. The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled at any time in your Apple Account settings.
Which devices does Surprisely run on?
Surprisely is made for iPhone and requires iOS 26 or later. There is currently no version for iPad or Android.
How do I save an idea from Safari or another app?
Tap “Share” and choose Surprisely. The title, picture and – where possible – the price are filled in. You can assign the idea to a friend and a list right away or sort it later.
Do I need an iCloud account?
With iCloud your data syncs across all your devices and you can use shared lists. Without iCloud, Surprisely works on your iPhone only.
Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone and in your personal iCloud storage. There’s no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and we have no access to your data. You can export it at any time in the settings. Details are in the privacy policy.
Can my friends see what I’m planning for them?
No. Only you can see your ideas, friends and private lists. You share shared lists deliberately, via a link, with the people you invite.
How do shared lists work?
Create a list – for others, for example for a wedding, or as your own wishlist – and share the link. Anyone who joins can reserve wishes and sees what’s already taken. So don’t send the link of a list for others to the people receiving the gifts.
What is surprise mode?
Surprise mode is available for your own wishlist. When it’s on, you won’t see which wishes your friends have reserved or already bought. So the surprise stays a surprise.
Do all list members need Surprisely?
Yes. To join a shared list, members need an iPhone with Surprisely and an iCloud account.
Will I be reminded of birthdays?
Yes. Surprisely reminds you 14 days before an occasion at 9 am and tells you what’s still missing, for example: “Lena’s birthday in 14 days – 2 of 3 ideas are bought. Almost there.” With Premium you set several reminder times and the time of day yourself.
